Welcome to this week’s dispatch from the lesbian internet, a mid-week news roundup from Paging Dr. Lesbian, exclusively for paid subscribers.

Some of you are going to be really excited about this movie announcement. I Saw The TV Glow director Jane Schoenbrun is making another film, starring Gillian Anderson and Hannah Einbinder. The film follows a horror movie director who becomes obsessed with the actress who played the Final Girl in the movie she’s remaking. (You can probably guess who’s who.) Being her chaotic bisexual (?) self on X, Gillian Anderson wrote, “Couldn’t let Jean Smart have all the fun 🤪.” Imagine you’re a Zillennial queer like Hannah Einbinder and you have two hot older women fighting over you…I bet she’s about to pass out right now.
Here’s another upcoming movie that looks like a Dr. Lesbian stunner. In Hot Milk, Emma Mackey plays Sofia, who moves with her controlling mother (Fiona Shaw) to the coast of Spain. She meets Ingrid (Vicky Krieps), and they have a gay romance, but things get complicated and spooky. (That’s my description based on the trailer.) Meanwhile, Ryan Murphy is bringing yet another TV show to our screens. It’s called All’s Fair, and it follows a group of high-powered divorce attorneys who hate men and love money, or something. I’m mentioning it here because Ryan Murphy almost always includes gay characters in his shows, and it features Sarah Paulson and Niecy Nash, so I’m hoping for some lesbianism.
