It’s all about casting news this week. First, and most excitingly, Kristen Stewart has been cast as Sally Ride in an upcoming Prime Video series. I loved the documentary Sally about the famous (lesbian) astronaut, and I think this is great casting — a lesbian icon playing a lesbian icon. Reneé Rapp is set to star in Season 5 of The Morning Show, the Apple TV+ series that has, as far as I can tell, increasingly gone off the rails. This is Rapp’s first role in two years, since she starred in Mean Girls and The Sex Lives of College Girls. Controversy has erupted following the news that The Last of Us has cast a cis girl to play the role of a trans boy in the upcoming season.
