Welcome to this week’s dispatch from the lesbian internet, a mid-week news roundup from Paging Dr. Lesbian. If you like this type of thing, subscribe, and share it with your friends!

Last Friday, Taylor Swift released her version of her 2021 album Red, which includes a 10-minute-long version of the fan-favorite song “All Too Well.” This news is important to us because, for three nights in a row following the release of the album, Taylor’s cherubic blonde boyfriend, Joe Alwyn, was trending on Twitter because (blood)thirsty sapphic swifties wanted to fight him for her hand in marriage after she wore some particularly flattering outfits. He’s in danger, girl.
Apropos of nothing, new photos of French lesbian icon Adèle Haenel’s short haircut have emerged. The people are not well. Also, Happiest Season star (lol!) Aubrey Plaza wore a suit to the CFDA fashion awards.
As it turns out, Demi Moore does actually have a girlfriend. It was rumored several years ago that Moore was in a “secret relationship” with a certain “gal pal,” but it’s been confirmed this week – by said gal pal, Masha Mandzuka – that they are in fact dating, and have been for a whole nine years. This is certainly a lot longer than anyone had expected, so kudos to them for being low-key happy (hopefully!) all this time.
Important spooky news, y’all: Via her recent profile in the New Yorker, apparently Kristen Stewart is developing a “gay ghost-hunting reality show” with a friend, which she describes as “a paranormal romp in a queer space,” but with “elevated aesthetics”. As many people have mused on Twitter, does this mean the ghost hunters are gay or the ghosts themselves are gay? Or maybe both? Certainly a thrilling question to ponder.
A new teaser trailer for the Sex and the City reboot has dropped and the most important thing about this is that it features Sara Ramirez (also known as Callie THEE Torres) looking hot and making eyes at Miranda (also known as Cynthia Nixon, failed mayoral candidate and iconic queer lady). Will Ramirez’ presence rectify the fact that Carrie once said that she thinks bisexuality is “just a layover on the way to Gaytown?” Only time will tell.
Other things from this week:
Kathryn Hahn has revealed that she has seen the iconic video of her staring lovingly at Rachel Weisz while the Carol soundtrack plays, and she loves it.
It’s cuffing season, and Dej Loaf has said she wants a girlfriend.
Beloved 90s lesbian film The Incredibly True Adventures of Two Girls In Love, starring L Word alumn Laurel Holloman, is being re-released at Metrograph next week. You can get tickets here.
This Taylor Swift joke.
That’s all for this week, folks! Stay tuned for whatever the next week has in store for us. I will leave you with this photo of Adèle Haenel and Céline Sciamma at a protest in honor of Sciamma’s birthday, which was on Friday.
